There is so much to know and everything to
love about Aquila, known as Miss Showbizz on
OnlyFans, who is a singer/performer, voice and
piano coach, trained cosmetologist and OnlyFans
creator. For Aquila, one of the best things about
making OnlyFans content is the gratification
that she gets from hearing her fans say things
like “you just made my day” or “you make me
feel some type of way.” Aquila didn’t always know
she wanted to run an OnlyFans account, but after
putting up a poll on her personal Instagram
account (@thereelqueenaquila) asking her
4500 followers if they wanted to see her on
Patreon or OnlyFans, and 100% voted OnlyFans,
it was clear to her what she was destined to do.
Aquila is bubbly and open as she begins talking
about the reactions she received from friends and
family when they found out about her OnlyFans
side hustle. She tells how for a lot of people “it
made their head spin” but says she’s totally fine
with the few people who have reached out and
said things like “oh, that is disgusting.” She seems
open to questions and believes that people who
question her about what she’s doing are just
curious. In terms of family, she divulges that her
grandmother “doesn’t like it”- she expressed to
Aquila’s mother that she doesn’t.
“I watched a few YouTube
videos and I got some
valuable insight, but a
lot of this was just me
figuring it out along the
way”
“When I didn’t know what it was about, I just
asked my followers and they kind of just told me:
you can do anything on OnlyFans, but people are
going to expect for you to do sexy things, and
that’s not the type of person you are. And I said,
“okay, well, challenge accepted.”” When asked
why people would assume that she wouldn’t
become an OnlyFans creator, Aquila puts it down
to the things she does already. “I think people, in
a way, for a long time, just kind of put me in a box.
Aquila’s an artist. She’s a performer. She’s a singer.
She’s anything but that.”
Starting out in something new can certainly be
daunting, and Aquila reveals that her family is
always there for her, but she didn’t have anyone
to show her the way when it came to starting
her Miss Showbizz account on OnlyFans. “I have
a whole tribe of supporters and I’m thankful
for that. I don’t take that for granted. My family
is super supportive of what I do. But as far as
direction is concerned, I watched a few YouTube
videos and I got some valuable insight, but a lot
of this was just me figuring it out along the way.”
For someone who watched a few videos and
winged the rest, she’s certainly doing amazing.
“Sex is such a beautiful
thing. It’s a way to share
something so special
with somebody”
The typically busy New Yorker teaches voice and
piano, on top of performing at a huge variety
of events as a singer, including weddings, bars,
birthday parties and at schools. You’d think it’d
be near-impossible to juggle so many things, and
when asked about balancing responsibilities, she
shares her best advice for pacing yourself when
you’ve got lots on. “Prioritise. That’s the main
thing, just prioritising and having good time-
management skills. It sounds over professional
and corporate, but I’ve taken little things that
I’ve learnt. And the most important thing is
to take care of your needs, like to take care of
yourself. Make sure that you’re eating, hydrating,
of course, keeping up with your hygiene. I mean
those simple things that can get forgotten about
if you focus only on work.”
Aquila spends a few hours, multiple nights a
week producing content for her OnlyFans, but
her shoots aren’t limited to specific evenings.
“Sometimes I go to myself “oh, I like what I’m
wearing. This is a photo. Let me create some
content.” I don’t like to plan too far in advance.
Yeah, I plan something for tomorrow, but after
that… unless I know, for instance, we’re coming
up on Christmas. So, the holidays, but other than
that, I just wing it.”
Aquila has big brown eyes and a sparkly smile
and it’s far from surprising to find out about her
success in the OnlyFans world; her Miss
Showbizz persona has already taken her to the
top 7 percentile of Only Fans creators, despite
only starting in November of 2020. “I’m really
thankful for that. It was 12% at the beginning,
and then it went to 8% and 7%. I’m thankful.”
The success is beyond well-deserved, as the sexy-
content creator has expressed such incredible
drive and determination for everything she does,
and despite boasting such an impressive set of
skills and talents, is refreshingly humble and
clearly cares for others. “Everything I do is on a
deeper level. I don’t do things just for clout or for
fame or popularity. I really care about the things
that I do.”
When discussing the growth of her page and
the moment that she realised she was gaining
subscribers, Aquila describes “a queasy feeling”
and says it was bittersweet. “I was just like, oh
my god, people are going to see me in a way
that they’ve never seen me before. And what
do I expect?” Despite the apprehension, positive
responses and honest feedback motivated
Aquila and she shares that comments like “this
is so tasteful” and “you’re doing the right thing”
continue to boost her along the way.
Some people would be immediately worried by
the thought of an acquaintance coming across
their OnlyFans, but Aquila isn’t phased by people
she knows interacting with her content and, in
fact, is glad that she can bring them some joy.
“There’s people who are on there and they make
themselves known, like they really want to be
seen. And then there’s others who are on there
and they hide behind a username. Either way,
it’s totally fine with me. I mean, for me, if I could
bring them some joy, thank goodness.”
Aquila, or Miss Showbizz depending on what
platform you see her, is awe-inspiring with her
huge range of skills, positive attitude and bubbly
character, and she reveals that her inspiration
comes from Beyoncé and other female artists,
and believes inspiration doesn’t have to come
solely from people in the same industry as you.
“You can become inspired from other artists,
even if they’re not doing the same things you’re
doing, and translate that into your work and the
content that you put out.”
Naturally, sex comes into conversation, and
Aquila’s views are wonderfully warm and
uplifting. “Sex is such a beautiful thing. It’s a way
to share something so special with somebody,
on a different level. When you see someone
who’s attractive to you, and they turn you on, you
have thoughts about them. And that’s okay. It’s
human nature.”
The talk turns to the sex industry, and how
it’s perceived, and Aquila displays strong
compassion for sex workers. “I feel like God has
given us so many gifts and a lot of us are using
them, but not always in the way that can yield
great results, or great income, or just greatness.
And I feel like people are judged, and they’re
looked down on, but I really think it’s silly. I really
do. As someone who’s new at this, I think it’s the
silliest thing. I feel like people have been led
to believe that sex is an icky thing. My wish for
everybody who’s in the industry, actually doing
sex work, is just to be safe. And do it where you’re
appreciated. I think they deserve support too.”

looked down on, but I
really think it’s silly.

Although Aquila is open to requests and
will cater to kinks, it’s always providing she’s
comfortable with it, and she expresses how
important boundaries are- especially for
someone starting out on OnlyFans. “The advice
I would give to someone starting on Only Fans
would be to really make sure that you are in
control of what it is that you put forth. Make
sure you say what it is that you’re doing and put
it in a place where people can see before they
subscribe. You want to let them know what it
is that you are willing to do and what it is that
you’re not willing to do.”
While it might not be entirely reliable, there
is certainly potential for OnlyFans to supply a
decent income, but Aquila makes it clear that
“I don’t do things just
for clout. I really care
about the things that I
do”
she has no intentions of making it her only
livelihood and says “I don’t have any plans on
making this my only thing because that means
that I would have to abandon other God given
talents that people have been supportive of
throughout the years.” Although it won’t be
her sole occupation, Aquila has goals for her
OnlyFans account and, unsurprisingly, they’re
meaningful. “Right now, my goal for OnlyFans is
to bring purpose to as many people as possible
and to organically attract people who this will be
beneficial to.”
Sex workers are constantly looked down
upon and stigmatised by society, but what
Miss Showbizz’s work represents is a beautiful
enthusiasm and love for giving, and she offers a
great example of why sex workers deserve more
respect. Aquila is an incredibly kind, passionate
and successful woman, who cares for others and
takes pride in bringing joy to people’s lives.2
